JCRC to Host Legislative Reception at Congregation Agudath Sholom

The Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) of United Jewish Federation and the Jewish Federation Association of Connecticut (JFACT) will host a legislative reception on November 19, 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, at Congregation Agudath Sholom, 301 Strawberry Hill Avenue, Stamford.

All Connecticut representatives from Stamford, New Canaan and Darien have been invited. The reception is a wonderful opportunity to meet your representatives and tell them about issues you feel are important. The representatives will also speak about issues of particular importance to the Jewish community, particularly the rising levels of antisemitism, security for Jewish organizations, and Holocaust education in our schools. It is very important for elected officials and constituents to have face-to-face meetings so each can hear from the other. This is a crucial element of democracy. Please make the time to participate in this reception.

We are advocating for Israel with our state and federal elected officials to assure that they know our priorities and hear our concerns. Federation and the JCRC, along with JFACT, will continue to advocate, secure, educate and support the community as the crisis in Israel unfolds. Please contact Sharon Lewis, JCRC Director, at slewis@ujf.org for further details and information.
