Local Students Need Your Help

If you’re horrified at the cost of your groceries, imagine how challenging it must be for those who can’t afford the daily basics.

Many families in Fairfield County are in that exact position, including one in five students who rely on subsidized breakfast and lunch at their public schools.

What happens on weekends, or over holiday breaks?

That’s where 3SQUARE is here to help. 3SQUARE is a program of United Jewish Federation, where dedicated volunteers meet weekly to shop, assemble and deliver bags full of kid-friendly, shelf-stable, nutritious food to students in need. Over weekends and school vacations, 3SQUARE recipients have been able to rely on help for the past 10 years. During the 2023-24 school year alone, 3SQUARE volunteers packed and delivered over 3,200 meals to combat food insecurity. Imagine how many more kids and families can be impacted this year with your help.

If you’d like to get involved with UJF's 3SQUARE program and help alleviate hunger in our local communities, reach out to Jill Kaplan, 3SQUARE co-chair at 203-323-1065, or email Lenore Fogel at lenore@ujf.org for further information.
