Chanukah is a timely reminder about what’s important: family, vibrant communities, and each other. As United Jewish Federation celebrates the festival of lights this year, we are reminded of the illuminating power of light in darkness.
UJF's Annual Campaign allows us to be here every day as well as in times of crisis.
In the wake of the brutal attacks by Hamas on October 7, Federation remained a beacon of hope for Israel and its citizens. Since the war broke out, local community members have raised over $1,000,000 to support victims of terror and aid in community rebuilding on the ground in Israel.
Even in the darkest times, this community’s flame burns brightly to provide warmth and care to all through the Annual Campaign for Communal Needs. Thanks to your generosity, UJF is able to respond immediately in times of crisis like this because we’re here day in and day out, all year long.
It's through donations from community members like you that Federation has strengthened community security measures, worked with local public schools on antisemitism education, enhanced the infrastructure of UJF, convened the local Jewish community through programs and events, and grew the impact of UJF initiatives like PJ Library, LIFE & LEGACY, Reading Partners, 3SQUARE, Dignity Grows, the Behrend Institute for Leadership, and Kuriansky Teen Tzedakah Corps, just to name a few ways Federation is making a difference.
